Satellite Security Systems Announces New Pricing Model For Its "GlobalGuard" Product Line
Satellite Security Systems of North America, LLC (S3), through its GlobalGuard tracking and recovery systems, announced May 17 a new pricing model for their live, 24/7 monitored, vehicle tracking and recovery system, which uses satellite communications versus cellular. According to S3, the new retail pricing for the GlobalGuard units will directly compete with the current retail prices being charged for fifteen year old technology, while maintaining the ability for customers to have a no monthly fee monitoring package. "By offering these new pricing models, we are finally able to offer a product that is able to let someone know in seconds, not minutes, hours or days, where their vehicle is or when it is tampered with. Most importantly this is all done while being monitored by live professionals, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, instead of leaving the uninformed public to rely on a homing beacon or random computer generated voicemail to guide you or the police," explains John Phillips, S3’s chief operating officer. "This is a significant event for our company. We are now able to offer much better technology, at prices the public can embrace." "We know our products work and are incredibly reliable. The success we have had with local law enforcement because of the fast recovery times as well as our recovery record, support our excitement. Clearly, there has been one dominant player in this market and they have set a price point using very old technology," continues Phillips. "There are a number of other companies launching similar products, however they have significantly limited the functionality available to the end user in order to save on equipment costs and monitoring overhead. The marketplace, automobile insurers and the retail buyer, need to all be very aware of this." S3, which stands behind GlobalGuard through its 24 hour, 7 day a week Monitoring and Support Center has said that in order to provide support for a vehicle tracking and recovery system, there must always be live, one-on-one communications between a monitoring professional and the client or law enforcement offices. "Other systems offering automated voicemail type response for customer needs, as well as internet only tracking, leaves the end user perilously uninformed and ultimately vulnerable to a lost or stolen vehicle when seconds count," emphasizes Gregg Wall, S3’s head of Customer and Dealer support. About GlobalGuard
According to the company, through the use of S3’s GlobalGuard technology, users will have the ability to monitor, track, analyze and control the movement of virtually any object in transit. The integration of a Global Positioning System (GPS) and two-way satellite communications make it possible for GlobalGuard owners to call in to S3’s monitoring center, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or to log onto S3’s web site and view the mapped position of their vehicle, unlock doors, disable their engine, or obtain information such as speed, direction of travel, longitude and latitude.
