LIVONIA, MI - GO Riteway, Wisconsin's premier airport transportation provider, is operating 21 ROUSH CleanTech Ford E-350 vans fueled by propane autogas to serve as ground transportation vehicles for the General Mitchell International Airport.

In an unveiling ceremony yesterday, Ronald Bast, president of GO Riteway, announced that the company is moving toward a more environmentally-friendly business model through the use of domestically produced propane autogas, which now fuels 40 percent of their fleet. The event, held at GO Riteway's new offices in Oak Creek, Wis., included a tour of the new ROUSH CleanTech fleet vehicles and on-site propane autogas fueling facility, which was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

"When we were exploring alternative fuel options, ROUSH CleanTech caught our attention due to their experience in the propane autogas field," said Bast. "ROUSH CleanTech's highly respected reputation, expertise and performance are why we chose to partner with them."

"Due to air-quality regulations, airport authorities across the country are looking for cleaner, lower-emissions solutions for companies that operate equipment on and around airport property," said Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing for ROUSH CleanTech, who was on-site for the ceremony. "ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas vehicles immediately deliver on the need for a clean-burning alternative to gasoline and diesel, while helping to wean our country from foreign sources of energy."

Propane autogas emits up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide, 20 percent less nitrogen oxide and up to 25 percent less greenhouse gases compared to gasoline. For more than 30 years, propane autogas has averaged 30 percent less than the cost of gasoline. In addition, thousands of public propane autogas refueling stations across the county make the fuel readily available, and on-site infrastructure can be installed for little to no cost.

Are You Tracking Your Fleet's True Total Cost of Ownership?

Bobit Business Media surveyed 190 fleet professionals and found that while most fleets are tracking costs, fragmented systems and data gaps are keeping true TCO visibility out of reach.
