Breakdown: The quarter trim on the driver and passenger windows may not have been properly secured, which can allow it to detach.

Breakdown: An incorrectly installed spring may cause the loss of the park function when the vehicle’s gear selector is placed in the park (P) position, which can result in a vehicle rollaway.

Breakdown: The right and left side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams.

Component: Structure
Breakdown: The longitudinal frame members may not be reinforced properly.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and repair the frame, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Nov. 7, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated November 2025.
Ford
Recall Number: 22S36 and 22S48
Vehicles: 2020 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator
Potential Units Affected: 4,632
Component: Engine
Breakdown: A short circuit within the battery junction box can cause an engine fire while driving or parked.
Solution: Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures and other vehicles, until the remedy is performed. Dealers will inspect and replace the battery junction box, as necessary, and remove a ground wire. On models equipped with standard-duty radiator fan motors, dealers will also install an auxiliary electrical box with a wire jumper. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Sept. 25, 2025.

Breakdown: The steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column and result in a loss of steering control.
Solution: Dealers will inspect the steering column, and repair or replace the upper shaft as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Oct. 6, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated December 2025

Breakdown: An incorrect steering coupler cover and tires that were not designed for the vehicle may have been installed during a previous repair.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the tires, tire placard, and certification label, and also recalibrate the vehicle. Additionally, dealers will remove the steering coupler cover. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Oct. 13, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated March 2026.

Breakdown: The original fuel tank may have been replaced with an incorrect fuel tank, which can allow fuel to leak in a rollover crash.

Breakdown: After experiencing an electronic stability control (ESC) system malfunction, the ESC malfunction warning light may not illuminate on the next key cycle.
Solution: The EBCM software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 27, 2025.
Toyota
Recall Number: Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB08 and 25TA08. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB05 and 25LA05.

Breakdown: Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.
Solution: Dealers will update the instrument panel software for non-PHEV vehicles, free of charge. For PHEV vehicles, dealers will inspect the instrument panel assembly, and either replace it, or update the software, free of charge.
