Breakdown: The right and left side curtain airbags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams.

Breakdown: A manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit and battery failure.

Breakdown: In the event of an engine failure, engine oil and fuel vapor may be released into the engine compartment and accumulate near ignition sources such as hot engine or exhaust components, possibly resulting in an engine compartment fire.
Solution: Owners are advised to park and shut off the engine as quickly as possible if they hear unexpected engine noises, notice a reduction in vehicle power, or see smoke. Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2025.

Breakdown: The connecting rod and rod bearing components may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure.

Breakdown: The engine block heater may overheat when the vehicle is parked with the block heater plugged in.
Solution: Dealers will replace the block heater element and inspect the electrical cord, replacing it if necessary, free of charge. Owners will also have an alternative option to replace the engine block heater element with a threaded blanking plug coupled and remove the block heater electrical cord. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 11, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available.

Breakdown: The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light may not illuminate as intended, failing to warn the driver of low tire pressure.

Component: Service brakes, hydraulic
Breakdown: The bolts securing the front brake caliper may not be tightened properly, which can result in a loss of front brake function and possible wheel damage.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and tighten the bolts as necessary. If bolts are missing, the brake caliper and pads will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 19, 2025.

Component: Service brakes, hydraulic
Breakdown: The brake booster pushrod retaining spring may not have been installed, which can allow the pushrod to disconnect from the brake pedal and cause a sudden loss of brake function.
Solution: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until they have been repaired. Dealers will inspect and repair the brake pedal assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 20, 2025.

Breakdown: The instrument panel was not properly configured, preventing many of the warning lights or gauges from properly displaying. This includes forward collision warnings, auto emergency braking, traction control, roll stability, and other gauges. The fuel gauge, distance to empty, and fuel economy may also not show accurately.
Solution: Dealers will update the instrument panel software, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed June 27, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available.

Breakdown: Contact with the engine coolant hose may chafe the engine wire harness or cause a pull out of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector pins, causing the engine to stall.
Solution: Dealers will inspect, replace the engine wire harness as necessary, and relocate the engine coolant hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 28, 2025.

Breakdown: The switch for the easy-entry second-row outer seats may bind or stick, resulting in the seats unlatching, folding, or sliding unexpectedly while driving.
Solution: Dealers will inspect the second-row seat switch and replace the bezel around the switch as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 26, 2025, and June 27, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available.

Breakdown: The D-ring bolts for one or both front seat belt anchorage assemblies may not have been properly installed.

Breakdown: One or both front turn signals may fail to illuminate and flash.

Component: Electrical system
Breakdown: The Power Distribution Module (PDM 10) circuit may experience a voltage spike, which can damage the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) and disrupt chassis functions, including the PTO switch, rearview mirror, or rearview camera.
Solution: Altec will install a diode to the ignition hot circuit free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 8, 2025.
Battle Motors

Breakdown: The steering wheel retaining nut may have been improperly tightened, allowing the steering wheel to loosen and detach from the steering shaft.

Custom Truck and Body Works

Breakdown: In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
