In February 2026, what recalls are out there that you need to know about, and which ones might impact your fleet? Work Truck has the answers in this comprehensive overview of recent recalls issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recalls are categorized as either pickup truck, van, and SUV recalls, or medium- and heavy-duty truck recalls, and the manufacturers are listed in alphabetical order.

Pickup Truck, Van & SUV

Ford

  • Recall Number: 25SA4

  • Vehicles: 2019 Explorer, 2024 Explorer, and 2016-2018 Focus

  • Potential Units Affected: 2,403

  • Component: Equipment

  • Breakdown: The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.

  • Solution: Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Feb. 13, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in April 2026.

  • Recall Number: 26C02

  • Vehicles: 2026 Explorer

  • Potential Units Affected: 8

  • Component: Visibility

  • Breakdown: During manufacturing, the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach in a crash.

  • Solution: Dealers will remove and replace the windshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Jan. 30, 2026.

General Motors

  • Recall Number: N252532830

  • Vehicles: 2024-2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV

  • Potential Units Affected: 20

  • Component: Parking brake

  • Breakdown: The rear parking brake wiring harness may become damaged or corroded, resulting in unintended activation of the parking brake or loss of the parking brake function.

  • Solution: Dealers will replace the chassis harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on March 9, 2026.

Hyundai

  • Recall Number: 292

  • Vehicles: 2020-2025 Palisade

  • Potential Units Affected: 568,576

  • Component: Air bags

  • Breakdown: The side curtain air bags for third-row occupants may deploy improperly in a crash.

  • Solution: The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 23, 2026.

Nissan

  • Recall Number:  PD185 and PMA61

  • Vehicles: 2025-2026 Frontier, 2025 Altima, 2025 Sentra, and 2026 Kicks

  • Potential Units Affected: 26,432

  • Component: Latches/locks/linkages

  • Breakdown: The door strikers may have been improperly welded and break, allowing the door to open while moving.

  • Solution: Dealers will replace the door strikers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 13, 2026.

Oshkosh

  • Recall Number: NGDV_TSB_057

  • Vehicles: 2025 NGDV

  • Potential Units Affected: 40

  • Component: Wheels

  • Breakdown: The rear axle hub fasteners may loosen, causing the wheel to detach.

  • Solution: Oshkosh Defense will replace and properly tighten the fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Jan. 30, 2026

Toyota

  • Recall Number: 111

  • Vehicles: 2024-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid

  • Potential Units Affected: 161,268

  • Component: Back over prevention

  • Breakdown: The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

  • Solution: Dealers will update the parking assist ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 10, 2026.

Rivian

  • Recall Number: FSAM-1795

  • Vehicles: 2022-2025 R1T and 2022-2026 R1S

  • Potential Units Affected: 869

  • Component: Seat belts

  • Breakdown: The bolts that secure the second-row driver and passenger side seat belt retractor assemblies may be improperly tightened.

  • Solution: Rivian will inspect and tighten the bolts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 9, 2026.

  • Recall Number: FSAM-1794

  • Vehicles: 2022-2025 R1S and R1T

  • Potential Units Affected: 19,641

  • Component: Suspension

  • Breakdown: The toe link may have been reassembled incorrectly during service procedures performed before March 10, 2025.

  • Solution: Rivian will replace the rear toe link bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 24, 2026

Medium- & Heavy-Duty Recalls

Ford

  • Recall Number: 26C01

  • Vehicles: 2025 F-59 and F-53

  • Potential Units Affected: 231

  • Component: Exterior lighting

  • Breakdown: The exterior brake lights may illuminate unexpectedly or fail to illuminate when the brake pedal is activated, due to an incorrectly installed switch.

  • Solution: Dealers will replace the stop light switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Jan. 30, 2026.

Paccar

  • Recall Number: 26PACA

  • Vehicles: 2025 Kenworth L770 and 2024-2026 Peterbilt 520 

  • Potential Units Affected: 219

  • Component: Steering

  • Breakdown: The right-hand stand-up (RHSU) configuration on the steering cross-shaft may become stressed and fail.

  • Solution: Dealers will inspect and repair the steering cross-shafts and replace any damaged or broken cross-shafts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 20, 2026.

  • Recall Number: N/A

  • Vehicles: 2018-2026 Pro Spotter Tandem

  • Potential Units Affected: 113

  • Component: Suspension

  • Breakdown: The track rod mounting bracket for the forward rear axle, of the tandem axles set may crack and break, which can result in track rod detachment.

  • Solution: Dealers will inspect and replace the track rod mounting bracket as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed by Jan. 31, 2026.

Terex

  • Recall Number: SN735

  • Vehicles: 2025 TL-Series, LT-Series, LTM40, HR40, HR46, and SCM55 

  • Potential Units Affected: 88

  • Component: Equipment

  • Breakdown: The control valve may have been assembled with an incorrect plug, causing the hydraulic equipment to overheat

  • Solution: Dealers will inspect and repair the control valve as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Jan. 23, 2026.
