Altec
Recall Number: CSN-3206
Vehicles: 2017-2024 Ford E350 van chassis equipped with a AT200A devices
Potential Units Affected: 82
Component: Suspension, equipment
Breakdown: The units mounted on certain Ford E350 van chassis with Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) of 4050 and 4200 pounds, may fail at high loads due to a defect in the front axle.
Solution: Ford dealers will install front springs, insulators, and nuts, free of charge. Additionally, a new label will be provided to indicate the upgraded gross axle weight rating. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 14, 2025.
Chrysler

Vehicles: 2016-2019 Ram 3500, Ram 1500, 2016-2020 Ram 2500, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis

Component: Airbags
Breakdown: The right and left side curtain air bag inflators may rupture due to a manufacturing defect.
Solution: Dealers will replace one or both side curtain air bags, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 13, 2025.
Ford

Vehicles: 2022-2023 Maverick and 2021-2023 Bronco Sport

Component: Electrical system
Breakdown: The 12-volt battery may experience degradation and suddenly fail.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the 12-volt battery, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed Jan. 29, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available

Vehicles: 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator

Component: Powertrain, structure
Breakdown: The transmission may be improperly secured due to loose cross member bolts.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and replace the transmission cross member bolts as necessary, free of charge. If the cross member bolts are missing, dealers will replace the cross member and install new bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Jan. 29, 2025.

Component: Steering
Breakdown: The steering gear assembly may have been assembled with an incorrect rack, which can cause the gears to fracture.
Solution: Dealers will replace the steering gear assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 10, 2025.
General Motors

Component: Forward collision avoidance, electrical system
Breakdown: The pedestrian alert sound system may not produce sound at a sufficient volume.
Solution: Dealers will update the software in the body control module (BCM), free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Jan. 22, 2025.

Component: Seatbelts, seats
Breakdown: The bolt that secures the rear center seat belt assembly to the seat structure may not have been properly tightened.
Solution: GM will tighten the bolt that attaches the center seat belt assembly to the rear seat structure, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory and, therefore, no owner letters will be mailed.

Breakdown: The forward collision warning (FCW) system may be inoperative due to a software error.

Breakdown: The remote fuel filter hoses may separate from the fitting, causing a fuel leak and an engine stall.

Breakdown: Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump.

Breakdown: The vehicles are missing the anti-lock brake (ABS) warning light and circuitry that controls the anti-lock brake function for an attached trailer.

Mitsubishi Fuso

Breakdown: The chassis harness may have been improperly sealed. Water intrusion can shut down the EV system, causing a loss of drive power.
