Rainier Truck & Chassis of Yakima, Washington, is now taking orders on its updated line of low-cab forward trucks, which can be equipped with the new Cummins Octane B6.7 gasoline engine.
Rainier is a low-cab forward OEM offering the Octane gasoline powertrain in the Class 3-7 commercial truck market. The Octane B6.7 is available across the entire medium-duty truck lineup.
The B6.7 Octane is Cummins’ first gasoline-powered engine. According to Cummins, it is purpose-built to deliver the highest durability of any medium-duty gasoline engine on the market.
Cummins said the engine is 10% more fuel efficient than other gasoline engines in its category and has an extended oil drain interval of up to 15,000 miles.
Rainier also offers the Allison 2500RDS or the 3000RDS 6-speed automatic transmissions in its trucks.
