Nissan is offering a pair of new twin-turbo diesel engines and new safety technology to its 2015 NV400 heavy panel van in Europe, which brings its engine lineup for the vehicle to five choices.
Nissan is offering five 2.3 liter, four-cylinder dCi diesel engines with the NV400. A pair of single turbo units deliver 110 hp, while the new pair of twin turbos provides 135 hp and 165 hp. Nissan also offers a 150-hp version of the engine with a variable geometry single turbo paired with a semi-automatic transmission.

The new twin turbos are designed for vans or chassis cabs in heavy-duty or long-distance operations. The engines also have an ECO mode that cuts back on fuel consumption. The engines generate increased torque at low revs up to 1,500 rpm.
The new models also add new technology such as a new Energy Smart Management system that provides more safety features for drivers, including Extended Grip electronic traction control, hill start assist, a wide view mirror, tire pressure monitoring, and trailer sway control. The new twin-turbo engines offer stop-start technology and regenerative braking.
The NV400, which was initially introduced in 2011, is available in front- and rear-wheel drive versions, three wheelbase options, four lengths and three heights while cargo volumes range from 8 to 17 cubic meters.
