Mobile Awareness Announces New Small Truck Backup Camera Systems

2 min to read

Mobile Awareness, a provider of leading-edge transportation safety products, today announced the distribution of two new rugged small truck camera systems. The solutions are being provided through a joint venture with St. Louis, Missouri based vehicle camera company, Visor-View, Inc. Visor-View, Inc. has released two new backup camera systems specifically for Pickup Trucks, Utility Vehicles and SUVs. Appropriately named for the display mounting style, both the "Visor-View Pickup" and "Mirror-View Pickup" camera systems offer clear color pictures of what is behind the vehicle day or night. These systems are particularly cost effective, allowing for use in multiple applications such as trailer hitch alignment, forward viewing and in-vehicle monitoring. "We are very excited to offer a vehicle camera system that is geared toward the unique mounting requirements of small trucks, especially the ever-present pickup truck," says Gary Rothstein, president of Mobile Awareness. The miniature, commercial grade, color CCD camera is ideal for mounting in tight spaces, facilitating the installation on smaller work trucks and utility vehicles alike. The "Visor-View Pickup" system includes a 5.8" TFT LCD Color monitor (visor installed) with a small, rugged CCD Color camera. Featuring a 150-degree viewing angle Sony waterproof camera, all hardware, cables and remote control are included. For safety and convenience, the Color LCD display is discreetly installed in the driver’s side visor. The "Mirror-View Pickup" system includes a newly designed 7.0" TFT LCD Color Rear View Mirror Monitor. It offers the same industrial grade Sony CCD camera and accessories, with a monitor that clips onto the existing rear view mirror. Both systems are configured to accept a second camera. Rothstein adds, "Proper camera mounting is critical to the elimination of blind spots common to most small trucks. We believe we have a superior solution to address the problem effectively."
