BLOOMING PRAIRIE, MN - Dennis Lott was named winner of Arrow Truck Sales "Back On The Road 2009" campaign, presented by Volvo Trucks North America.

Minimizer was one of the industry sponsors for the award. The announcement was made at a ceremony held March 20 at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, KY. The ceremony was hosted by Dave Nemo, Sirius XM satellite radio personality, and Country Music Star, Aaron Tippin.

Now in its second year, "Back On The Road" is an initiative designed to benefit a deserving trucker in need of a truck and a job. Truckers from across the nation who have lost their truck, and their livelihood, through unfortunate circumstances beyond their control, can submit their story for consideration.

As the winner of "Back On The Road 2009", Lott received a 2006 Volvo VNL 670, courtesy of Volvo Trucks North America complete with truck accessories and fenders from Minimizer. He also received a one-year work agreement with Heartland Express, and other great products and services.

Minimizer makes poly truck fenders, poly toolboxes, customized mud flaps, and bracket kits. They proudly outfitted the new truck Dennis received with poly truck fenders and bracket kits.

"Minimizer identifies closely with our over-the-road drivers, especially those that have served their country with honor," says Craig Kruckeberg, Minimizer's Chief Visionary.

Lott has encountered many challenges in his 33 years in the Air Force and on the road as a professional truck driver. He started driving trucks for the United States Air Force in 1974, became a pilot and master sergeant and worked as an over-the-road driver when he was not on duty.

But in 2000 Lott suffered a back injury during survival school parachute training. This took him off the road but not out of the air. He began flying full-time for the Air Force Reserve and was called to duty shortly after 9/11.

Fast-forward to today and Dennis is healed and retired from the Air Force. He wants to be on the road full-time. "Driving is my career, not just a job, and I take great pride in my work," says Lott. "Each load delivered is important. I enjoy being a part of the many team players that get the people of America what they need and want."

"Dennis is a genuine person, whose commitment to his country and the trucking profession is inspiring," says country-music star Aaron Tippin, who joined the campaign this year. "This is the start of a great journey for him and I know he'll represent the trucking industry with great pride."
