Mickey Launches Van Body Operations Expansion
The company also said it expects to hire over 60 people within two years of both buildings being up and running.

Mickey Truck Bodies has launched a major expansion and upgrade of its van body operations to support the division’s prolific growth. The plan covers two company-owned buildings that will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2022 and will be dedicated to van body assembly, finishing and chassis prep.
"We have a great backlog of work, a very strong schedule and tremendous growth opportunities into next year and beyond," said Matt Sink, Mickey Truck Bodies CEO. "We want to have both facilities operational for January 2022 because we have very ambitious production goals."
The company also said it expects to hire over 60 people within two years of both buildings being up and running. The two buildings total more than 72,000 square feet. The 55,280-square-foot building was purchased two years ago and has been used to manufacture composite panels for van bodies. An upfitted portion of the building will be designed for van assembly. A recently purchased 17,280-square-foot building is currently vacant and will be upfitted for van body finishing and chassis prep.
The current project is the latest in the company’s capacity and capabilities expansion over the past several years, starting with the construction of a 20,000-square-foot liftgate installation facility at its main manufacturing campus in High Point.
In July 2017, Mickey opened a $7 million van body manufacturing plant in Berwick, Pennsylvania to serve the Northeast markets.
