KIRKLAND, Wash., October 6, 2006 – Kenworth Truck Company announced that it will extend a successful, truck purchase rebate program with the Consolidated Buying Company (CBC) and its petroleum hauler members through 2007. The program offers rebates to CBC members on qualifying purchases of new Kenworth trucks ordered through their Kenworth dealer or bought from Kenworth dealer stock. Rebates are $1,250 for orders of three or more Kenworth Class 8 units, $1,000 for one or two Kenworth Class 8 units, and $500 for a Kenworth Class 7 unit. “The rebate program with CBC has been extremely successful as many petroleum haulers have purchased Kenworth’s T800, W900 and T300 models to serve their markets,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth assistant general manager for marketing and sales. “We expect this program to continue to generate additional and significant truck sales in the future.” Limit for a single customer is 10 trucks per year. The purchaser must identify CBC membership to the Kenworth dealer at the time of truck purchase. Kenworth will pay the first-year CBC membership fee for any qualifying petroleum hauler that wishes to participate in the rebate program but is not currently a CBC member. Other limitations apply on the Kenworth rebate program. See your Kenworth dealer for further details. Consolidated Buying Company is the largest buying group for petroleum operators in North America, currently providing services and benefits to more than 12,000 locations. CBC provides national and regional promotional and rebate opportunities for convenience stores, auto repair locations, and car wash facilities, and fuel hauling operations. Kenworth Truck Company, a division of PACCAR Inc, is a leading manufacturer of heavy and medium duty trucks. Kenworth is the current recipient of five J.D. Power and Associates awards for Highest in Customer Satisfaction, including three 2006 awards for Over the Road Segment and Pickup and Delivery Segment Class 8 Trucks, and Heavy Duty Dealer Service two years in a row, and two 2005 awards for Conventional Medium Duty Truck Segment and Medium Duty Dealer Service.
