A limited run version of 4,190 Gladiator Launch Edition's sold out in its pre-order on Jeep 4x4 Day. The Launch Edition was a fully loaded Rubicon model with badging, wheels, and interior accents unique to the model. It's powered by a 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine that can achieve 285 hp at 260 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual or optional 8-speed automatic transmission.
Revealed in November 2018, the Gladiator is a midsized pickup with a focus on utility, towing, and 4x4 payload. Fleets that need to be able to haul over rough terrain may benefit. The truck is available with three powertrain combos, three trim configurations, and a cargo box. All models are also trail rated. The truck includes a full-size spare tire and mount under the bed, behind the rear-axle. The all-new Gladiator will feature the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine at launch with a 3.0L EcoDiesel V-6 engine to be offered in 2020.
Some features unique to the Gladiator is the four-bolt design at the top of the windshield's frame so drivers can fold it down quickly, with a header bar connecting the A-pillars that stays in place with the window down. This keeps the rear-view mirror in place regardless of window position.
