Hyundai Motor America and Nissan North America, Inc., have reported record sales in May for the Hyundai and Infiniti nameplates. Hyundai Motor America announced sales of 34,696 vehicles for the month of May, setting a new all-time sales record. "Hyundai sales were up nearly 10 percent over last May," said Robert Cosmai, vice-president of sales for Hyundai Motor America. "This marks our best sales month ever and 16th consecutive month of record-setting sales," he added. Led by the hot-selling G35 luxury sport sedan, Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., reported its best May in history with sales of 7,633 units, a 33.7 percent increase versus last year.
