Gasoline Inches Lower to $3.26 a Gallon
The average price fell for the second consecutive week. Gasoline is 8 cents lower than it was for the same week a year ago, according to federal data released Monday.

The national average price of gasoline fell three-tenths of a cent to $3.269 for the week ending Dec. 9, hovering just above a three-year low.
The average price fell for the second consecutive week. Gasoline is 8 cents lower than it was for the same week a year ago, according to federal data released Monday. Gasoline hit a three-year low of $3.194 on Nov. 11.
Among the nine regions studied, the sharpest decline has come in the Rocky Mountain region, where gasoline is 25.1 cents lower than a year ago. The Lower Atlantic region is showing the only increase from year ago with a 2.2-cent rise.
Diesel fuel also fell for the week, sliding four-tenths of a cent to $3.879. Diesel is 11.2 cents lower than it was a year ago, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
In the past week, Kansas joined Missouri and Oklahoma as states with an average price per gallon lower than $3, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report on Monday. Minnesota fell to exactly $3 per gallon.
