Ford Produces 500K Rangers in South Africa
Ford’s assembly plant in South Africa has produced 500,000 models of the current generation Ford Ranger, a popular light commercial vehicle in the region as of late.

Production of this generation’s Ford Ranger commenced at the factory in 2011, with an initial investment of R3-billion (more than $200,000,000) in local operations. The automaker matched the investment again in 2017 to further expand production capacity to meet the growing worldwide demand for the Ranger.
