Companies are demanding new ways to control operating costs and improve their bottom-line results. In response, Orlando-based FleetBoss Global Positioning Solutions(TM) announced on April 17 The Boss(R) Cool Blue series, a fleet management system that actually guarantees improved efficiency, productivity and profitability. By leveraging GPS-precise vehicle location information and specialized software for reporting and evaluating operations, business owners and fleet managers now have complete access to instant vehicle locations and driver productivity tracking, according to Larry Carroll, president and CEO of FleetBoss. "We're very excited to offer business managers the first comprehensive system that provides not only real-time automatic vehicle location (AVL) but also passive data recording for thorough reporting and tracking of vehicle usage," Carroll said. "This is the only system on the market today with active and passive fleet management capability combined in one customer-defined solution." According to Carroll, hundreds of companies have used The Boss first-generation fleet management information system with great success, reporting improved fuel efficiency, driver safety, lower insurance costs and accident rates, reduced wear and tear on vehicles, and improved customer service. "With the latest system enhancements, The Boss now gives fleet managers automated reports and instant on-screen alerts to put a stop to unauthorized vehicle use, speeding, excessive idling, and use of company equipment for 'moonlighting' jobs," Carroll said. The Boss also allows maintenance interval planning, route tracking, time-on-job reporting and payroll time clock verification. When vehicles return to the company base, all stored data is automatically transferred to the fleet manager's computer by 900 MHz radio transmission. "With FleetBoss Autographics(TM) software installed at the customer's location, companies are in the driver's seat for creating reports to fit their specific needs," Carroll said. "The Boss gives businesses unprecedented ability to manage and monitor their vehicle operations around the clock, anywhere in the country." About FleetBoss FleetBoss Global Positioning Solutions(TM) produces and distributes The Boss(R) fleet management systems (FMS) and FleetBoss Autographics(TM) software throughout the United States and in select international markets.
