Fleet Safety Video Tip: Freeway Driving
Here's some advice, provided by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, on freeway driving.
Driving on busy freeways presents a range of challenges that require undivided focus and decisive action. Fleet drivers need to understand all the laws and best practices associated with freeway driving.
For example, who has the right of way in a weave lane – the vehicles merging onto the freeway or those exiting? How do you decide which lane in which to travel once you’ve entered the freeway? What’s the best way to respond to a tailgater? What’s the best course of action if you suddenly realize you’re about to drive past your exit?
This video from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety answers these questions and more. You might want to pass this along to your fleet drivers as a friendly reminder.
