EPA Says Dodge Dart Aero Models to Get 40-plus Highway MPG

Chrysler offers three different engines for the all-new Dart: a 1.4L MultiAir Intercooled Turbo, a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a new Tigershark 2.4L MultiAir 2 engine.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has posted fuel economy numbers for Chrylser’s Dodge Dart, with the Dart Aero model equipped with a 1.4 L four-cylinder engine and manual six-speed transmission getting 41 mpg highway in the EPA's official tests.

Chrysler offers three different engines for the all-new Dart: a 1.4L MultiAir Intercooled Turbo, a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a new Tigershark 2.4L MultiAir 2 engine.

Chrysler is offering three transmission choices for its Dart models, a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, or a six-speed dual dry clutch (DDCT). The 2.4L Tigershark engine and the six-speed DDCT transmission will be available in the third quarter of 2012, according to the automaker.

Earlier this year, Chrysler announced that its Dart had reached 40 mpg in tests and that its Aero model would get 41 mpg.
