The Descartes Systems Group Inc., a provider of logistics management solutions, announced June 11 the availability of Fleetwise Monitor, a routing and scheduling software application that they say is designed to enhance the performance of customer service representatives for order fulfillment. Descartes claims it has designed Fleetwise Monitor in concert with customer needs to provide for real-time coordination of customer service representatives, dispatchers and drivers. According to the company, designed to display only the most pertinent delivery information, Fleetwise Monitor is a browser-based application that provides a look into order fulfillment progress. With access to real-time information about scheduled deliveries and exceptions, Descartes claims customer service representatives can improve customer service by responding to potential delivery delays. "Our customers trust us to deliver innovative routing and scheduling software and Fleetwise Monitor is a good example of how well Descartes listens to customers and delivers," said Manuel Pietra, Descartes' co-chief executive officer. "We understand that real-time order status in customer service is imperative in improving customer satisfaction and pivotal for companies to drive market differentiation." Some of the features of Fleetwise Monitor include: warning alerts that are pushed to the customer service representative when a truck is delayed, customer queries, and line item detailed shipment information. With access to this delivery information, customer service representatives can view and respond to changes in delivery schedules through three screen views including Orders, Routes and Customers. According to Descartes, Fleetwise Monitor is a part of their Fleetwise suite, one of the company's Routing and Scheduling solutions. Built upon the experience gained through Descartes' Roadshow product, the Fleetwise suite is an end-to-end solution designed to increase the value of routing and scheduling through visibility and resource management services from the point of product order through to route planning, dispatching and final delivery. Applications in the suite include:
