Chevin Fleet Solutions, the leading enterprise fleet management software provider, has recently returned from an eye-opening implementation and training visit to Albania. Based in the capital city of Tirana, Albanian Mobile Communications (AMC) is the leading mobile phone operator in Albania and the second largest employer in the country, with more than 400 employees. AMC recently purchased a version of Chevin's RoadBASE Xpress system. This flexible fleet management tool is the perfect solution to manage the AMC fleet of 250 vehicles, the majority of which are Land Rover support cars, used for the maintenance of base station antennae in remote mountain locations. RoadBASE Xpress offers AMC an entry-level streamline version of Chevin's powerful PC-based software system RoadBASE. RoadBASE Xpress is used to manage AMC’s 250 vehicle fleet in the local language, supporting the organizations diverse management requirements. As part of Chevin's implementation support services Chevin's new Customer Liaison Manager, Sarah Ivins, conducted training for AMC in Albania, on the most efficient way to use the RoadBASE Xpress system. Sarah commented that "the training itself went really well, and AMC were very impressed with RoadBASE Xpress' capabilities. RoadBASE Xpress offers AMC the ability to manage their fleet in an extremely simple and easy-to-use way. However, the training did take twice as long as normal, due to the fact that the interpreter had to translate everything I said!!" Chevin Fleet Solutions is a global provider of dedicated fleet management solutions. Chevin developed the world's first true web-based fleet management system, FleetWave in 2000, as well as pioneering revolutionary touch screen and bar-coding systems to make fleet and workshop operations simpler and more controllable. Meanwhile the Chevin continues to market its class-leading 'desk-top' RoadBASE package, aimed at small to mid-sized fleets.
