Cenntro Electric Group Limited plans to expand its lineup with the addition of the Logistar 300 (LS300), a new all-electric commercial van. The LS300 will make its world premiere at the upcoming 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Cenntro will assemble the LS300 at its Jacksonville, Florida, and Freehold, New Jersey, assembly plants.
The LS300 is a medium-duty Class 3 vehicle that will be available as a van or truck. The vehicle is equipped with:
118kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.
Max speed of 75 mph.
Estimated range of 273 miles.
The van version features four doors, while the truck variation can be upfitted with different configurations to meet the needs of multiple applications.
“The LS300 is well-positioned to meet the rapidly growing demand in the United States for commercial EVs,” said Peter Wang, CEO of Cenntro. “The Logistar 300 is another strong addition to our commercial vehicle lineup, providing fleets and businesses with best-in-class EV technology that supports the most robust operating cycles. The vehicle joins our Logistar Series following the LS100, LS200, LS260, and LS400. Now, we have a full line of commercial EVs in multiple configurations for last-mile delivery. We look forward to showcasing the LS300 along with our complete lineup at CES in January.”
This news comes after Cenntro announced the establishment of a separate operating division, Cennatic Power Inc. (Cennatic), to manufacture advanced lithium-ion batteries to be used for its electric commercial vehicles.
The company has signed a lease for a 111,363-square-foot purpose-built manufacturing facility at Aero Industrial Park in Monterrey, Mexico where Cennatic will manufacture advanced lithium-ion batteries.
Earlier this year, Nuvve Holding Corp. and Cenntro announced an alliance to offer an all-in-one electrification solution for commercial fleets. The collaboration between these companies provides electric vehicle fleet solutions to shared and non-shared clients and reflects their strategy to onboard more EVs to the electric grid.
