AmeriFleet recently announced the appointment of Ron Heck as director, Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and safety. AmeriFleet is provides logistics solutions and transportation services to the fleet management and corporate fleet industry. Heck joins AmeriFleet with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the DOT and safety arena within the motor carrier industry. His background includes work in the areas of education, training, audit and compliance preparation with the Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He served as a trial lawyer and litigator from 1970 to 2000 handling litigation which included motor liability trials. In his new role, Heck will oversee all training and compliance efforts for AmeriFleet including working with their customers on the preparation and maintenance of all DOT certifications. With AmeriFleet’s commitment to providing valuable information to the fleet industry, Heck will also be available to share his expertise through speaking engagements at key industry seminars. He served as a speaker at the 2006 NAFA FMI and was enthusiastically received by the NAFA audience.
