ALG: Residual Values for Chrysler and Dodge Minivans Impressive

The Chrysler Town & Country minivan has a higher average residual value than its American counterparts, the Ford Freestar, Buick Terraza and Chevrolet Uplander, according to ALG numbers released last month.

The Chrysler Town & Country minivan has a higher average residual value than its American counterparts, the Ford Freestar, Buick Terraza and Chevrolet Uplander, according to Automotive Leasing Guide numbers released last month. The Touring model leads the pack by holding 47 percent of its residual value. The latest ALG numbers have also found that the Dodge Grand Caravan SE has a residual value of 36 percent over a three-year period, and both the Caravan and Town & Country have also been chosen by Consumer Guide as a “Best Buy” pick for 2006. The Chrysler Group, which invented the minivan more than 21 years ago, has made more than 11 million sales in the segment.
