Because of an Environmental Protection Agency review of fuel-economy data, 78 vehicles that used to qualify as trade-ins under the government's "cash for clunkers" program no longer qualify, according to the Associated Press. And 86 vehicles that did not qualify earlier now do.
The "cash for clunkers" program provides consumers a rebate of up to $4,500 if they trade in a vehicle with 18 mpg or less. The program took effect the weekend of July 25.
