6 States Partner for Distracted Driving Crackdown
Launched July 20, the enforcement campaign involves law enforcement agencies in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Law enforcement agencies in six states on July 20 launched a week-long enforcement campaign aimed at combating distracted driving.
“In addition to focusing on distracted driving behaviors, troopers will also be on the lookout for seat belt use, speeding, aggressive and impaired driving,” said Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue, director of the Michigan State Police. “Multi-state initiatives such as this allow us to align resources with neighboring states to focus on improving traffic safety.”
The enforcement project involves Michigan State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Indiana State Police, Pennsylvania State Police and West Virginia State Police. This partnership provides coordinated law enforcement services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing, organizers said.
