When is the new Ford Ranger getting to North America? Ford has confirmed with Work Truck that the 2024 Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor are coming to North America later this year. But, at this time, the automaker had no further details to share.

This information was shared via a tweet by Jim Farley, Ford CEO:

Ford Motor Company has three production hubs in the International Markets Group (IMG) region producing Next-Gen Ranger for global markets, including the Silverton plant in South Africa, and two plants in Thailand. The company also has CKD operations in Vietnam and Cambodia to assemble the Next-Gen Ranger, with plants in the U.S. and Argentina set to begin production this year.

In November 2022 the Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria opened up after a $1.05B investment in Ford's South Afria operations and supplier tooling, according to a release.

Potential Ranger Updates for 2024

Digging into things, we found some reports about potential changes for the 2024 Ford Ranger. The automaker announced the global model in late 2021, which has some key changes that will not all come to the U.S. but show some potential. Changes for 2024 will likely include a fully digital instrument cluster and ditch the traditional owners manual in favor of a digital one, similar to the 2021 Ford F-150

According to Ford Authority, the current generation of the Ford Ranger should remain in production through April 2023 at the Michigan Assembly plant. After production ends, the 2024 Ford Ranger should begin in approximately May and stay in production for about eight years, noted Ford Authority (although that timeline can change at any time).
