2018 Ram 1500 Adds Factory Telematics
The 2018 Ram 1500 will arrive with an embedded fleet telematics module, standard backup camera, larger audio display screen and other features, Fiat Chrysler has announced.

The 2018 Ram 1500 will arrive with an embedded fleet telematics module, standard backup camera, larger audio display screen and other features, Fiat Chrysler has announced.
Several of the features will also be added to the Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty, as well as the Ram 3500/4500/5500 chassis cab models.
The Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups will now offer a factory-installed telematics module.
Ram pickups will also feature an 8.4-inch display for upgraded connectivity and infotainment features such as 4G LTE, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB Flip. The screen now offers pinch to zoom and an improved resolution. The trucks adds Sirius Guardian with SOS calling, roadside assistance, remote services, Send and Go, and a vehicle locator.
The trucks will also add a remote exterior switch in the bed to activate LED bed lights.
Exterior and interior upgrades for the Ram 1500 include the luxurious Limited Tungsten edition, Sport model appearance upgrade, and factory leather interior option for Rebel models. The 2500/3500 also add a Limited Tungsten edition.
The Ram 3500/4500/5500 chassis cabs are also several new features. The Ram 3500 is adding a standard backup camera with the 10,000 GVWR truck. All three models add the 8.4-inch Uconnect touch-screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
