TORRANCE, CA - Both the 2010 Toyota Tundra and 2010 Toyota Sequoia will see an increase in price, according to www.automobilemag.com. Toyota has added "popular standard equipment" to its large SUV, including driver and passenger knee airbags, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and an auxiliary audio input jack. These additions bump the price of the base SR5 up by 12.5 percent, to $39,330 (including an $800 destination fee). Toyota says the average price increase across the board for Sequoia models is $3,361.
SR5 Sequoia models get a new standard 4.6L V-8 engine that achieves 310 horsepower and returns 14/19 mpg city/highway (an increase of 2 mpg on the highway). The 5.7L V-8 from last year remains as the upgrade for SR5 models and the standard engine for Limited and Platinum trims. The Sequoia tops out with the Platinum 4x4, which costs $59,705 (including destination charges).

The 2010 Tundra, which receives a revised front grille and tail lamps, will get an average price increase of $557. Toyota justifies the increase by offering standard knee airbags for the driver and passenger this year, as well as standard height-adjustable headlamps and a redesigned seven-pin towing hitch connector. The least expensive 2010 Tundra will be the $23,955 (destination included) Tundra-grade regular cab.
Two new audio system options are available for 2010. The first, which is only available on Tundra-grade models, includes an AM/FM/CD stereo with an integrated XM satellite radio receiver, hands-free phone capability, USB and auxiliary input jacks, and six speakers. The second option includes navigation, a "value-positioned AM/FM/CD" stereo, auxiliary input jack, backup camera, and six speakers.
The Tundra also gets a new Work Truck Package, aimed at commercial truck buyers. The package is available for regular or double cabs, but not on the CrewMax. Toyota says the price of Tundras with the Work Truck Package will be from $195-$1,030 less than the truck's standard MSRP without the package.
The Tundra tops out with the Limited CrewMax equipped with the 5.7L V-8, which can be purchased for $50,155 after destination charges are accounted for.
Both the 2010 Sequoia and 2010 Tundra will be available starting in late April.
