An employee of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) in Northern California was hospitalized after the transformer he was working on exploded, knocking out power to more than 400 customers, reports CBS Local.

A spokesman for the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) told CBS Local that the worker suffered burn injuries after the transformer he was working on caught fire. The lineman was working in an elevated bucket truck at the time of the incident. The fire from the transformer spread to the power pole, PG&E truck, and another vehicle.
