InPower has developed the SS-FD-02, a medium-duty, Start/Stop High Idle Control Module for chassis engine control in 2020 model-year and newer Ford vehicles. Along with providing start/stop functionality, the SS-FD-02 provides high idle and PTO as needed.

“With proper application of the SS-FD-02 Start/Stop High Idle Control Module, our customers are able to implement a fully integrated, clean and reliable system for start/stop control of their Ford chassis engine,” said John Melvin, InPower’s Vice President of Engineering. “This improves engine efficiency and provides greater fuel economy.”

In addition to start/stop capabilities, each module has two user programmable RPM/high idle settings. There are eight diagnostic LEDs to aid in troubleshooting.

“By utilizing Ford SEIC signal inputs and outputs, the SS-FD-02 simplifies installation and eliminates common wiring errors,” said Melvin. “It also eliminates the need for multiple relays for remote stop and start, time delay, PTO REQ1 and PTO interlock, and is available in a fully customizable version.”

The SS-FD-02 module is compact with a lightweight, low-profile case designed to be installed near the steering column for easy access to the ignition wiring.
