Mack Trucks was awarded a contract by Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing agency offering competitive pricing and volume discounts on Mack trucks to Sourcewell’s membership of more than 50,000 public and governmental agencies. Through the contract, Sourcewell users can purchase Mack’s full lineup of Class 6-8 trucks, including the all-new Mack MD Series, as well as Mack Anthem, Granite, LR, Pinnacle, and TerraPro models.
“Mack Trucks is pleased to offer our full range of medium- and heavy-duty trucks to Sourcewell members throughout the U.S. and Canada,” said Jonathan Randall, Mack Trucks senior vice president of North American sales and commercial operations. “With solutions from Class 6 through Class 8, Sourcewell member agencies will be able to find the right Mack truck for their applications.”
Sourcewell, formerly known as the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), is a government agency that uses the power of cooperative purchasing to help fulfill the bid process in order to save its member agencies time and money. Rather than solicit individual bids from agencies across North America, Sourcewell combines these efforts into a shared process, eliminating the need for time-consuming bid development from each member agency. All education and government entities, as well as nonpublic schools and nonprofit organizations, can register with Sourcewell as a participating agency.
“For more than 40 years, we’ve existed for a single purpose, which is to help communities,” said Kelly McAllister, Sourcewell supplier development supervisor. “By streamlining the purchase process, we’re able to save our members time and money, two increasingly precious resources in today’s world.”
