The Ditch Witch organization introduces UtiliGuard, a new utility locating system combining numerous features to offer unprecedented locating accuracy, according to the company.
UtiliGuard offers Ambient Interference Measurement (AIM), a feature that scans the surrounding area for noise and recommends the best frequency among the 70 it provides, resulting in faster, more accurate locates, according to the company. Only UtiliGuard can provide both horizontal and vertical distance (depth) to the utility, which enables users to make accurate locates of obstructed utilities.
An intuitive, six-button, multi-language operator interface accelerates operation proficiency, and a high-contrast LCD display ensures visibility in all conditions, including direct sunlight.
UtiliGuard’s dual-output feature enables the user to connect the transmitter to two utilities at once. Bluetooth technology is utilized to simplify communication and data transfer to a wide range of communication devices.
All of the UtiliGuard system’s sensitive electronics are protected by an exceptionally rugged housing with an industry-best IP65 rating, to ensure performance in dusty, dirt and/or wet conditions. Long-lasting performance is further enhanced by exceptional battery life for both the transmitter (100 hours) and the receiver (30 hours).
