CURT Manufacturing, a manufacturer of USA-made towing products, has developed a new puck system 5th-wheel roller adapter, specifically for short-bed Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks equipped with the OEM puck system 5th-wheel/gooseneck prep package. This adapter is designed to accept all CURT 5th wheel hitches with rollers, up to 20,000 pounds. When secured to the OEM truck bed puck system, it is immediately ready to tow a 5th wheel trailer.
Similar to the company's other OEM puck system 5th wheel products, the key feature of the GM 5th wheel roller adapter #16023 is its quarter-turn anchors, according to CURT. With the hitch head and roller assembly pinned to the adapter, the system can easily be dropped into the puck mounts whenever needed and secured with the quarter-turn anchors. The anchors are adjustable to eliminate chucking noises between the adapter and under-bed platform, and they allow the entire hitch to be removed from the truck bed within seconds.
The CURT 5th wheel roller adapter for Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks provides the ultimate in versatility for the CURT 5th wheel line. With a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 pounds, it is able to accept all CURT 5th wheel rollers rated up to 20,000 pounds, including the R16 (#16560) and R20 (#16550). It meets SAE J2638 testing protocols and is coated in a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish to protect against scratches and rust. We also give the OEM puck system 5th wheel roller adapter a 10-year limited warranty.
