If your truck-bed toolbox has ever turned into a leaky, rusty, hard-to-organize black hole, DECKED said it built this one to be the opposite. The company just unveiled its all-new DECKED Tool Box, designed to bring stronger security, smarter organization, and better weather protection to a category DECKED says hasn’t meaningfully evolved in decades.

The new toolbox mounts at the rear of the truck bed and integrates with DECKED’s broader storage lineup, including the Drawer System, CargoGlide, and D-Co Cases.

The DECKED Tool Box will be available for purchase starting Jan. 27 for $1,099.99, sold through decked.com and at SEMA retailers nationwide.

What Makes the DECKED Tool Box Different?

Unlike traditional welded metal tool boxes, DECKED built this one using compression-molded, fiber-reinforced SMC (Sheet Molding Compound). The company says this construction delivers steel-like strength at aluminum weight, while also helping prevent dents, rust, and leaks.

Other features DECKED is highlighting include:

• Theft and Weather Protection, designed to keep tools and gear secure in extreme conditions.

• Purpose-Built Organization with accessory rails that support DECKED D-Co cases and Milwaukee Packout cases, plus trays and hooks.

• One-Touch Auto-Open Lid using DECKED’s patent-pending D-Link gas struts, designed to stay out of the way for easier access.

• Low-Profile Design intended to preserve rear window visibility.

• New Color and Pattern Options, which DECKED says is a first for premium tool boxes.

DECKED CEO Bill Banta said the company’s goal was to “create the best toolbox ever made,” citing made-in-the-USA manufacturing and long-term durability as key priorities.

Designed to Work With the DECKED Ecosystem

DECKED positions the Tool Box as part of its larger “secure mobile workshop” approach, designed to help truck owners and work crews reduce bed clutter and protect gear. 

The Tool Box is compatible with DECKED’s CargoGlide, D-Co Cases, and the Drawer System (for 8-foot truck beds only).
