WernerCo announced the introduction of a new WEATHER GUARD Custom Van Configurator, an online interactive tool that both consumers and distributors can use to build custom van upfits. Utilizing WEATHER GUARD products, users can dynamically create a configuration to meet their needs based on the dimensions for the most popular van manufacturer models. The ability for professional contractors and tradesmen to customize how they organize and secure their tools and equipment in their vans has never been easier with the availability of this new WEATHER GUARD tool, according to the manufacturer.

The technology-based program simplifies the upfit process from concept to installation and allows users to visually and interactively place partitions, racks and bins, shelving and ladder racks. This program helps end-users and distributors design customized van packages for each vehicle and distributors can save their most popular packages for future reference and quoting.

Using integrated intelligence, the Configurator ensures the accuracy of each vehicle and product placement, the company said.

“The standard upfitting process can be complex and costly,” said Jeff Kotz, senior product manager. “The WEATHER GUARD Custom Van Configurator makes it easy for professional contractors to customize their van interior for functionality and convenience, while being assured they are getting the most from their vehicle investment.”

HOW IT WORKS

The WEATHER GUARD Custom Configurator can be completed in three easy steps:

1. Select the vehicle make and model. The WEATHER GUARD Custom Configurator is designed for the most popular van models, from Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Mercedes Benz, Nissan and RAM, including the new 2014 ProMaster model.

2. Choose one of the pre-configured WEATHER GUARD Pro Packages or Starter Packs.

3. Customize the products and accessories based on specific vehicle storage and security needs.

To save configurations and unlock additional customization features, end-users can follow a simple and free registration process. Registered users also receive a full color product brochure with line-drawings of their final configuration as well as a parts list. In addition, end users can request a quote and a WEATHER GUARD customer care representative will review the configuration and refer the customer to an approved local upfitter. Registered distributors will receive new lead referrals and can save their most popular configurations and quotes for easy access and customization for future customers.

Note: WEATHER GUARD recommends verifying vehicle measurements with a preferred installation partner to ensure an exact fit.
