Camera technology manufacturer AmeriCam has added a front-view camera with a Sony camera chip and 12.0 lens to its range of TradeCraft DVR systems for fleet vehicles.
The 650 TVL Sony 1/3-inch Driver’s View camera was added to provide fleet owners with recorded evidence of license plate information in the event of an incident involving their vehicles. The Sony 1/3-inch chip and 12.0 camera lens make it possible to clearly record license plates at 30 fps, even during turns.
As part of the complete TradeCraft security camera system, the new windshield-mounted camera provides an extra layer of protection against insurance fraud.
AmeriCam’s range of TradeCraft security camera systems include up to four internal and external cameras and record between 64 and 2000 hours of high-quality video.
The Sony 1/3-inch Driver’s View camera can be purchased separately for $118 or as part of a TradeCraft package.
TradeCraft systems are available in Silver, Gold and Platinum kits with the option to add customized features depending on the needs of the fleet.
