The company said this resulted from its recent recommendation for ISO 9001: 2000 certification of its corporate headquarters in Chicago, Ill. This certification completes the company's effort to certify all of its main operating locations. Navigation Technologies' Fargo, N.D., production facility and its European headquarters in Best, The Netherlands have also received ISO 9001: 2000. ISO is an international network of national standards institutes representing 147 countries. The organization is dedicated to setting quality standards that make the development, manufacturing and supply of products and services more efficient, safer and cleaner. "Earning the ISO certification is a clear indication of Navigation Technologies' commitment to quality," said Navigation Technologies President and CEO, Judson Green. In order to qualify for ISO certification, an organization must create, implement, and document a system that measures the quality of its products and operating procedures. KEMA-Registered Quality Inc., a member of the International Association of Accredited Registrars, is Navigation Technologies' official ISO auditor. This certification includes Navigation Technologies' core operating functions and departments including Technology and Development, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, Delivery and Fulfillment, Quality, IT, Finance, and Legal.
