The National Association of Fleet Administrators Inc. (NAFA) has announced the launch of its latest service, the FleetED online educational portal, a comprehensive online educational and reference tool for the entire fleet management industry. Free and open to all at www.nafa.org/fleeted and www.fleeted.org, the Web site is designed to assist fleet managers in finding the references and educational resources they need. Utilizing NAFA’s Fleet Education Model, FleetED centers around eight disciplines: Asset Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Risk Management, Vehicle Fuel Management and Professional Development. Each of these disciplines is subdivided into core competencies. For example, the Risk Management discipline consists of the competencies Insurance, Subrogation, Fleet Driver Training & Vehicle Safety, Crash Management and Motor Vehicle Records. By simply clicking on a discipline, you’re given a helpful overview of that discipline, a clickable list of competencies and a self-assessment tool designed to evaluate your general knowledge and provide suggested education content according to your assessment results. This feature is an important and valuable tool for all fleet managers; it provides real-time feedback and suggested education resources to increase your knowledge in deficient areas. Whether you are looking for something specific or just trying to figure out what you need to know, NAFA’s new service will guide you to valuable, comprehensive education content and reference materials. For more information, please contact Joseph Dunne at (732) 494-8100, or via email at jdunne@nafa.org. The National Association of Fleet Administrators Inc. (NAFA) is a not-for-profit, individual membership professional society serving the needs of Members who manage fleets of automobiles, SUVs, trucks, vans and a wide range of specialized mobile equipment for organizations in the United States and Canada.
