Mesick and Perkins have also been awarded the 2015 Daniel A. Leary award in appreciation of their "significant contribution to the success of the company," according to a release.
Perkins joined Motorlease in 2002 in an administrative capacity, and was promoted to leadership positions in the customer service department and dealer relationship management area. In 2005, he was tapped to lead Motorlease's purchasing and remarketing efforts.
In his current role, his team developed a process to factory-order vehicles, purchase vehicles out of stock, remarket off-lease vehicles, as well as sell upstream. As a result, he increased net profits from used vehicle sales by more than 200 percent from 2010 to 2014.
