Michelin Names Menegaux CEO for Mid-2019
Michelin Group has lined up a replacement for Jean-Dominique Senard, who doesn't want to extend his term as CEO of the tire company past its current expiration date — the end of the 2019 annual shareholders meeting.

Michelin Group has lined up a replacement for Jean-Dominique Senard, who doesn't want to extend his term as CEO of the tire company past its current expiration date — the end of the 2019 annual shareholders meeting.
At Michelin's 2018 annual meeting, on May 18, 2018, shareholders will consider a resolution that names Florent Menegaux as Senard's replacement as CEO a year later — at the close of the 2019 annual shareholders meeting.
Michelin's supervisory board and Senard have both approved the move.
Menegaux joined Michelin as commercial director for truck tires in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland in 1997. Three years later Michelin named him sales director for the original equipment and replacement truck tires markets for North America. In 2003 he became head of truck tires for South America, and in 2005 he was named head of the Africa and Middle East Zone.
In January 2006 Menegaux took on responsibility for Michelin's passenger and light truck tire replacement business unit for Europe. Two years later he was appointed executive vice president of passenger and light truck tire activities worldwide. He also oversees Michelin's motorsports activities and materials business.
In December 2014 he was named chief operating officer, and in 2017 was named senior executive vice president of Michelin Group. He also supervises the group's business directors and the manufacturing, supply chain and customer experience operational directors.
