Latest IIHS Crash Test Video Results Available
Consumers worldwide now have access to full-motion video results of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) high-speed frontal offset crash tests for four 2001 large pickup trucks at progressive.com. The latest tests (results released at 10 a.m. Eastern time June 4) were conducted on the Ford F150, Toyota Tundra, Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra and Dodge Ram. Progressive.com is the only insurance Web site with this crash test footage. Previous vehicle crash test results are also archived at the site. "Progressive believes that the key to making well-informed decisions is choice," said Toby Alfred, site manager for progressive.com. "Hosting the IIHS crash test videos on progressive.com helps consumers choose the vehicle that is right for them - one that will keep him or her safe in an accident, and cost the least to be repaired. Progressive.com is the only site where consumers can view vehicle crash test results and then check out the insurance rates for the vehicle from Progressive and up to three other leading companies." Progressive.com has been hosting the crash test videos since November 2000. About Progressive Progressive, with headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio, is the nation's fourth largest auto insurance company. In business since 1937, the company provides all drivers with competitive rates and 24-hour, in-person and online services.
