Hino Trucks Names TruckMax Number One Dealer in U.S.

Miami-based TruckMax has been named the number one dealer in the United States by Hino Motors Sales USA, Inc., an affiliate of the Toyota Motor Corporation. TruckMax, a commercial truck dealership led by automotive and trucking industry veteran Joseph De Maria, also led the country in sales and finance, selling a record 150 Hino Trucks and financing $10 million commercial vehicles. The awards were presented at ceremony in the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas May 22, 2006 by Shoji Kondo, President of Hino Motors, Ltd. / Japan, Hiroji Kurayama, President of Hino Motors Sales USA, Inc. and Nick Vermet, Senior Vice President of Hino Motors Sales USA, Inc. "TruckMax has done a truly outstanding job representing Hino. Their contributions have helped Hino become the fastest growing medium duty truck manufacturer in North America." says Nick Vermet, Vice President of Hino Motors Sales USA, Inc. "We are extremely proud to have TruckMax as a Hino dealer." Vermet said. "This is also a proud day for all of us at TruckMax. We are honored by this achievement made possible through the support of our entire team, from our factory representatives to our sales and finance teams to our service department. Our entire staff is to be applauded," says De Maria, president of TruckMax. "Mr. Shioji Kondo set an ambitious sales goal for 2006 of 6,800 new trucks and we are committed to helping the company reach that benchmark." Located at 6000 N.W. 77th Court alongside the Palmetto Expressway, in a 60,000 square foot facility, TruckMax is also an authorized dealer for GMC, Mitsubishi and Volvo. TruckMax specializes in sales of new and pre-owned medium and heavy duty vehicles with a full service and parts department staffed by factory trained, certified technicians. TruckMax also owns and operates BABCO Engineering which manufacturers truck bodies. TruckMax sells a number of custom made trucks included refrigerated, dump, wrecker, flatbed, vans, landscape and tow trucks among many others. In 2005 TruckMax had sales in excess of 25,000,000.00. Hino Motors, Ltd. an affiliate of the Toyota Motor Corporation produces a range of commercial vehicles and supplies trucks and buses to many countries throughout the world. Hino has 141 dealerships in the United States. Hino proudly maintained its position as the number one selling medium and heavy duty truck in Japan for the past 32 years. In 2005, Hino produced and sold 100,428 trucks/buses worldwide. In addition, Hino manufacturers numerous Toyota model vehicles that are distributed by Toyota worldwide. Hino trucks are produced by Hino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc. headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The trucks are assembled in Hino's Long Beach, California assembly plant.
