Ford Commercial Truck has launched the Transit Means Business Challenge contest to offer a 2015 Transit or 2015 Transit Connect to a business owner who can make the strongest case for how it would use the van, according to Ford.
Ford will accept entries for the contest, which is open to legal U.S. residents 18 years or older with a valid driver's license, until Sept. 30. No purchase necessary. The winner, who must be a business owner, will receive the vehicle in early 2015.
Each entrant will make his or her case in 300 words or less by describing how a new Transit or Transit Connect will make their business more successful. A panel will select the top 10 entries, which will then be posted and put to a vote on Fordtoughtruck.com and on the Ford Commercial Truck Facebook fan page at Facebook.com/fordmeansbusiness.
Ford is offering the full-size Transit, which became available in July, in cargo, passenger (wagon), cutaway and chassis cab models. The van comes in three roof heights as well as three body lengths and two wheelbases. The Transit Connect, which was redesigned for the 2014 model year, is also available as a cargo and passenger (wagon) model.
