Professional fleet managers have voted in the inaugural contest searching for the best 2004 model cars and trucks via Automotive Fleet and Business Fleet Magazines' Web site, www.fleet-central.com. Over the past three months fleet managers, who are responsible for operating more than 3 million vehicles in the United States, have cast their vote based on descriptive specifications and product data supplied by manufacturers. Winners among the 19 passenger cars and 13 light trucks in the running for the honor of Fleet Car and Truck of the Year will be announced at Fleet Expo, held on Oct. 7-9 at the Meadowlands Convention Center in Secaucus, N.J., according to Mike Antich, editor of Automotive Fleet.
