Donlen Unveils Interactive Vehicle Lifecycle Calculator
The calculator allows users to input manufacturer incentives and select usage options to determine a monthly operating cost for each vehicle, including fuel estimates.
NORTHBROOK, IL — Donlen Corp. announced on April 18 that it has launched the interactive Vehicle Lifecycle Calculator on its web site, www.donlen.com. "We have traditionally provided a paper-based Best Value Analysis at the beginning of each model year," Donlen President and CEO Gary Rappeport said. "Unfortunately, we were finding that in many cases, the data became outdated just months into the year. By moving to an electronic format, we are able to provide fleet managers the opportunity to perform model comparisons with a broad range of criteria that is continually updated." Backed by actual residual returns for each vehicle model – or Automotive Lease Guide (ALG) data where historical data is not available – the calculator allows users to input manufacturer incentives and select usage options to determine a monthly operating cost for each vehicle, including fuel estimates. Users can select up to four vehicles for comparison, and can select the same vehicle to compare different mileage or service life usage scenarios. Residuals and other data for the calculator are updated quarterly, and 2006 models are expected to be added later this spring. Each vehicle listing includes a photo and detailed information on the options selected. The calculator can be accessed from the home page of www.donlen.com or in the "Industry Tools" section of the Web site.
