The all-new 2009 Dodge Ram was recently unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, boasting new chrome-tipped dual-exhaust styled into the rear bumper and best-in-class aerodynamics, the automaker reports.

On the exterior the first-ever Dodge Ram crew cab, features a redesigned aluminum hood with a large power bulge and a forward-canted grille, while front and rear bumpers wrap around each body side. Twenty-inch wheels are available in three styles and sills are pulled down to cover frame rails for a premium appearance.

Badges are three-dimensional and are designed to stand out. The sculpted Ram's-head badge on the tailgate is 250 percent larger than the previous badge. The new pickup also features a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 380 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft of torque and an estimated 4 percent increased fuel economy.

The 2009 Ram also offers new interiors with soft-touch seats, redesigned controls, a floor console with shifter and more storage options. The RamBox, a cargo management system, includes versatile, weatherproof, lockable, illuminated and drainable storage bins built into the bed rails, making a total of 8.6 cubic feet of storage space.

For additional storage, the new Ram also offers “store in the floor" bins with removable liners, big enough for ten 12-ounce beverages and ice.
