Chrysler says it will introduce a limited edition Platinum Series of vehicles this fall, to celebrate 20 years of minivan leadership and further establish positioning in the marketplace. "This fall marks 20 years of minivan leadership for the Chrysler Group," said Tom Marinelli, vice president of Chrysler Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "We'll celebrate this significant minivan milestone across the entire brand by offering a limited edition Platinum Series on our award-winning, best-selling models." The Chrysler Platinum Series will consist of six models: the Chrysler 300M, the Chrysler Sebring Convertible, the PT Cruiser, Sebring Sedan, Sebring Coupe, and Town & Country. The company says all Platinum Series Chrysler vehicles will be available in Graphite Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic or Brilliant Black Crystal. Additional features include leather seats, satin silver bezels, chrome or platinum clad wheels, and an array of unique interior features. Each vehicle prominently features special Platinum Series badging. Chrysler 300M Chrysler 300M offers best-in-class 250 horsepower performance, handling and distinctive design at the forefront of the sport sedan segment with a modern interpretation of the brand's "letter series." The Platinum Series Chrysler 300M is further enhanced by an optimal blend of a distinctive Deep Slate/Light Taupe two-tone interior, chrome door handles, deep gloss black turn signal mirrors, and 17-inch chrome wheels. The model comes complete with a standard 360-watt Infinity II Cassette/CD player and a no-charge SIRIUS satellite radio system, complete with a one-year SIRIUS subscription. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for this model is $31,425, which includes the $680 destination fee. Chrysler Sebring Convertible According to the company, with stunning design, room for four and unsurpassed cargo capacity, Chrysler is the leader in the U.S. convertible market, a segment the company has dominated for nearly 20 years since introducing the LeBaron convertible in 1982. The Platinum Series Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible features a black cloth roof, two-tone leather seating with preferred suede inserts, 16-inch Platinum clad "Bladerunner" wheels, a power driver seat, satin silver interior accents, and interior chrome door handles. The MSRP for this Touring model is $28,585, which includes the $625 destination fee. Chrysler Sebring Sedan The Chrysler Sebring Sedan builds on the heritage of the Chrysler brand and offers a combination of sophisticated design, athletic performance, top government Five Star frontal crash safety ratings, and roominess. The Platinum Series Chrysler Sebring Touring Sedan features Platinum clad "Bladerunner" wheels, distinctive two-tone leather seating, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio steering wheel controls, satin silver interior accents, and a power driver seat. The MSRP for this Touring model is $22,555, which includes the $625 destination fee. Chrysler Sebring Coupe
The 2004 Chrysler Sebring Coupe offers features usually only found in luxury sport coupes. Chrysler Sebring Coupe offers styling sophistication, a real back seat and true performance under the hood. A two-tone leather interior, chrome wheels, power driver seat, four-disc CD changer, and an automatic day/night mirror are featured on the Platinum Series Sebring Coupe. The MSRP for this model is $25,615, which includes the $625 destination fee. Chrysler PT Cruiser According to the company, this segment buster forever changed the landscape of the automotive market. The Chrysler PT Cruiser also changed the way people view the Chrysler brand, creating an image almost as important as the vehicle itself. The Platinum Series Chrysler PT Cruiser features the new 180 horsepower turbo engine option with an automatic transaxle. An AM/FM six-disc CD changer radio complete with SIRIUS satellite radio capability, unique two-tone leather seats with power seat height adjuster, and chrome clad wheels on the exterior will augment the premium, dynamic feel of this vehicle. The Platinum Series PT Cruiser also features bright pedals and a new, leather-wrapped steering wheel with satin silver painted spokes, a chrome/body-color front fascia, chrome bodyside moldings, a chrome exhaust tip, chrome door lock knobs, front door sill scuff plates with bright winged logo inserts, a chrome shifter bezel, and a satin silver shift ball. The MSRP for this model is $24,965. This includes the $590 destination charge. Chrysler Town & Country The Chrysler Town & Country heralded the start of the luxury minivan segment with its introduction in 1990. With nearly 150 industry-wide awards and nearly 50 minivan-first features, Chrysler Group still leads the minivan market segment. The Platinum Series Chrysler Town & Country celebrates 20 years of minivan leadership by offering even more premium amenities. Premium amenities include a no extra-charge Rear Seat Video system, six-disc CD/DVD player, pop-up rear cargo organizer, and removable center console. This ultimate minivan comes complete with a body-color roof rack, platinum clad wheels, two-tone leather interior, chrome interior door handles, and a satin silver instrument panel bezel. The MSRP for this model is $34,320, which includes the $680 destination charge. All new Chrysler vehicles are covered by a 3/36 Basic Limited Warranty, a 7/70 Powertrain Limited Warranty and 24/7 towing assistance.
