CarsDirect.com, a multi-brand online car buying service, on Sept. 16 announced its September 2003 Best Bargains selections. Most notable this month is the generous number of rebates on newly released 2004 models. "Right now, shoppers can buy a just-arrived '04 model and feel good about it,” said Mark McCready, director of pricing strategy at CarsDirect.com. “Automakers are not holding back. In fact, the majority of '04 domestic models have an incentive, and even some newly re-designed and completely new models are being introduced with rebates." Newly redesigned or completely new '04 vehicles that have rebates include the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Malibu, Mitsubishi Endeavor and Chrysler Pacifica. Each month, CarsDirect.com's team of pricing experts qualifies Best Bargain vehicles from a list of over 120,000 price configurations. Best Bargain choices include popular new cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles that currently offer the most attractive combination of national and regional manufacturer rebates and incentives, those that offer a historic low price point, or vehicles with prices that include other special programs.
