A.R.E.'s Deluxe Commercial Units (DCU) are now featured on Toyota's Web site as one of four name-brand work truck aftermarket accessories for the all-new Tundra. To view the promotion, visit Toyota.com, click "Trucks/Tundra," select the "Work Truck Equipment" link and follow the "A.R.E." logo to view specific Tundra DCU information — including a complete list of authorized A.R.E. dealers nationwide. "The Tundra lineup is new from the ground up for 2007 and makes a bold statement about Toyota's intention to serve the work truck industry. Now, A.R.E. is helping to enhance the look and function of this truck as the ultimate work vehicle," said Bryan Baker, marketing director, A.R.E. "Our DCU transforms the bed into a secure, functional work station that Tundra owners will love." With more than 200 options available, the DCU can be customized to fit any work truck owner's needs with a wide selection of door and window sizes, toolbox configurations, a ladder rack and overall cap heights ranging from 20 to 36 inches. The caps feature Strattec lock cylinders in the folding T-handles on all doors as well as a rugged, fully welded frame construction for years of reliable, durable use. An all-new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine is now available in all three cab configurations, making the new Tundra a solid contender for demanding service industry applications. "Toyota engineers have given us a 31 model lineup with three powertrains that offer both great torque and stopping performance, class-leading safety features and incredibly spacious cabs,” said Rich Bame, truck market development manager for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. “With payloads up to 2,065 pounds and 14 models capable of towing over 10,000 pounds, the new Tundra is truly changing it all.”
